the history of colombian independence had its beginnings in the city of bogota to exploit an incident the loan of a vase, the vase llorente, tio trigger the chain of events that resulted in emancipating. it all ended well in bogota after glory at the battle of boyaca and enter in santafe triumphant, as the capital was know at that time.



the famous cry of independence came on 20 july 1810and since then the fighting began. in 1815 spain attacked to retake control of the rebel provinces, but in 1819, after the liberation campaign disarm the settlers and obtained their surrender, the independent republic was born.

for the national quality education forum 2010, and within the framework of the commemoration of the bicentennial of independence, the ministry of education proposes to the country`s educational comunity a refletion of the changes that have developed in three specific areas: the classroom the institution and the relationships of education with the family and society. this look is retrospective but also prospective, will highlight the developments and policy challenges in education quality.
